Once we got to the island and were greeted by you I was even more at piece and was able to enjoy the beautiful hotel and beach the five days before the wedding. El día 14 de junio del 2003, y después de 7 años, logramos cristalizar el sueño de unirnos en matrimonio, después de innumerables días de recorrer diversos sitios que se ostentan como los mejores en realización de eventos, un día, por casualidad, nos encontramos en un lugar maravilloso, el Hotel Playa Media Luna, el cual desde el mismo momento que lo vimos, nos atrapó, sin dudarlo, decidimos que sería ahí donde realizaríamos nuestro enlace matrimonial.

Nunca imaginamos que lo que viviríamos esa noche, sería como sacado de un cuento de hadas, y es que no es una exageración........... la realidad superó la ficción.

Nosotros deseábamos tener una boda mágica al atardecer, pero por alguna extraña razón, las cosas se dieron para que todo fuera de noche, fue para nosotros una gran impresión al ver todo tan perfectamente montado en la playa, miles de luminarias dispuestas alumbrando el lugar, y al final un camino de antorchas que daba marco al altar donde se realizaría la ceremonia....... 

No pudimos elegir un lugar mejor.............y dentro de 5 años!!!!! Lo repetiremos 

Este mensaje es solo para agradecerles infinitamente el habernos ayudado, a hacer de nuestro sueño una realidad, realmente podemos asegurarlo, ya que el trato que recibimos siempre fue de lo mejor, las habitaciones cómodas, la comida excelente, todos y cada uno de los servicios que recibimos del hotel podemos asegurar que fueron de 1ª. Calidad..

Todo esto no es mas que la suma y el reflejo del profesionalismo y la dedicación con que los propietarios realizaron y supervisaron cada uno de los detalles de lo que para nosotros fue “un sueño echo realidad”

"Dear Maria,
As we celebrated our first anniversary this past weekend, we thought about you, your sister and everyone at Hotel Maria del Mar who made our wedding so special. It was truly a fairy tale wedding and we are so thankful for all your help. 

We were so pleased with all the details from the setting for the ceremony to the flowers, the cake, the musicians, the dinner, the service, etc. The dinner was delicious and I wish I could have the recipe for the grouper and the salad dressings, so I could duplicate this meal. Everyone loved the food. The cake was delicious, too, especially with the coconut ice-cream. We were very pleased with the photography and video. It's a wonderful memory, especially since most of our family was not able to attend and were lucky to have a perfect sunset as part of our scenery. And the margaritas brought out just after the ceremony were the best we ever had! The musicians were wonderful and I regret we didn't have a recording going the whole time they played. Please tell Kin she did a beautiful job on the flowers from my white roses to the alstromeria in my hair, to the huge vases of white gladiolas, and the centerpieces of exotic flowers in the coconut were exactly what I wanted. The tables looked beautiful and we loved the lanterns hanging above. I think the setting among the palm trees was better than right on the beach. Thanks so much for all the time you spent to make this a special day."

"Julianne and I, along with all our family and friends, arrived back home safely. We are just getting back our pictures of our time on Isla Mujeres.

The center piece, of course, was the wedding. As we reflect, reminisce and tell those who weren’t able to attend, words like “fabulous, wonderful, sweet, perfect” spill from our mouths.

We were blessed to have found you both. Your warmth, friendliness, and openness put us at ease. You took what we had planned as a “wonderful ceremony, on the beach, at sunset,” and transformed it into a truly extraordinary celebration. To have both of you in-charge throughout the ceremony and reception allowed us to truly enjoy ourselves. Your presence was reassuring, yet never intrusive. 

As for the cost -- very, very reasonable and fair. The process you used of presenting all the options with costs, and then helping us fit our dreams into our budget was terrific. Everything we chose, you delivered on time, within our budget, and without any shortchanging. In fact, we felt you gave us more than we paid for!

Everything was glorious. The music was above our expectations; the food and wine was superb and exactly as we requested; the cake was decorated beautifully; and the surroundings with foliage, flowers, silk table clothes, candles, luminaries, and chargers was a sight to behold.

There was not one thing we wished for that we did not receive. We are deeply appreciative. Take good care of yourselves and your family, and continue to share your love with future clients as you did with us."

The setting for the wedding was absolutely perfect, and your help in organizing all of the pre-wedding activities was also very much appreciated! Neither of us had been to Isla Mujeres or met Maria in person before we arrived there for our wedding. We had to take a leap of faith, trusting that Maria would make our day a special one. She kept in touch with us on Email for months before the wedding, making trips to Cancun and sending us pictures of our options. 

We have to say that EVERYTHING came out better than expected. If we had to do it over again, there is not a single detail that we would want changed. Maria was so good at attention to detail - she always asked us what we wanted, and had recommendations for us when it was something we hadn't thought about. The flowers and color combinations were amazing, the food was delicious, the music was wonderful, and the waitstaff was fabulous. We have to say that Maria really went above and beyond when it came to helping us out with arrangements to have a chocolate fountain at our wedding.

One other thing we must mention is not captured in the pictures. Everyone was extremely helpful and made our day fun. During our ceremony, people gathered around - strangers on the beach kept a respectful distance (which is why you don't see them in the pictures), but they gathered around the edges of the beach as well as in the ocean to observe our fantastic wedding. 

Our guests couldn't stop telling us how special of a location we had picked and asking us how we found it. Maria is full of energy (even when she was at 9 months pregnant) and she made our wedding perfect. Thank you so much.

Our 10 Anniversary Celebration was a huge success, and we owe much of that to you. You made planning the event so easy... When you plan an event like this long distance, you worry that it won't be as you imagined. But your attention to detail and your frequent consultations made our dream event come true. 

Everything was perfect... the location on the beach underneath palm trees and near the surf; the food featuring local Yucatan dishes was wonderful; the tables were beautiful and the lighting with the torches and the palm tree's wrapped with lights were beautiful. And let's not forget the live fish in the fish bowls! That was our favorite touch. 

Thank you for all that you did... Our event was wonderful and exactly what we envisioned.

Hello Maria, 

I have a million comments about the wedding!! Just to give you a few: 

It was beautiful and the time of day was perfect. I actually liked the fact that the sun was in my eyes when I was walking down the aisle that way I couldn't see the guests to well. It calmed my nerves so that I could keep it together. Also, the sunset for the pictures turned out to be perfect and the weather wasn't too hot. 

The flower arrangements were exactly what I wanted, tropical and colorful. I loved the ball lights and the lit up tables. They made it very elegant. 

Everyone commented on how great the food was also. Mario and I really appreciate the "to go" box also since we didn't get to eat a lot during the party. Also I didn't really want to eat the cake but I couldn't help myself. It was the best tres leches cake I have ever had.

A great touch was that the servers where waiting with drinks when the ceremony finished. Everyone loved that!

I don't have a single bad think to say. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding. Mario and I keep looking at the pictures over and over again because we loved it so much. You did an amazing job and I can't thank you enough for making our wedding unforgettable to us and to everyone who attended. People still today are talking about how much fun they had and how great everything was.
